Lake Township zoning board approves permit for used car lot

Conditional use granted for auto sales business on Edison Street; next zoning board meeting set for Nov. 20.

At a public hearing Oct. 23, the Lake Township Board of Zoning Appeals approved a request by applicant Austin Norman and property owner GAMMAG Properties LLC for a conditional use permit to operate a used automobile sales lot at 811 Edison St. NW, located in a General Commercial (C-2) zone.

The next meeting of the Lake Township Board of Zoning Appeals will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, at Township Hall, 12360 Market Ave. N. All meetings are open to the public.

The board consists of five members and one alternate, all appointed by the Lake Township Trustees. It hears and decides appeals, authorizes variance requests, and issues or revokes conditional zoning certificates. Those wishing to speak at BZA hearings are asked to take an oath or affirmation and state their name and address for the record. Board decisions are final but may be appealed to the Stark County Court of Common Pleas.
