Lake Center Christian School is reviving its beloved Fish Fry on Nov. 22 after a decade-long hiatus, inviting the community to enjoy food, fellowship and support local families in need.

After more than ten years, Lake Center Christian School is bringing back a beloved tradition: the annual Fish Fry, and the entire Lake Township community and beyond is invited to experience it — maybe even rejogging some memories of past ones in the Kaufman Center.

The event will be held Saturday, Nov. 22, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the school’s Cafenasium and Main Gym (enter Door 1 or Door 10).

Many in the community have requested the return of the Fish Fry, and stories are still shared about the joy and fellowship of past events, which served anywhere from 700 to more than 1,000 dinners per gathering.

“The Fish Fry has always been a special part of Lake Center’s history,” said Laura Kell, advancement coordinator. “It’s a time when past families and volunteers can return to relive cherished memories, while new families experience this tradition for the first time. Everyone comes together in fellowship, service and celebration of our school and our community.”

Historically, the Fish Fry was an opportunity for students, parents and volunteers to serve together, enjoy fellowship and support the school. This year, the school is inviting past families and volunteers to return and share in the fun with current families, bridging generations and fostering connections across the Lake Center community.

Guests can enjoy classic Lake Center recipes, including the school’s famous fried fish and Graham Cracker Pudding, along with bake sale items. Proceeds benefit the Deck the Halls with Giving Campaign, which provides tuition assistance and teacher and staff bonuses, with 10% donated to Love Our Community to help local families in need.

“The Fish Fry was brought back to honor the sense of community and service that has long been part of the Lake Center Christian School story. This event creates opportunities for faithful volunteers and current families to serve side by side as one body of Christ, building lasting relationships rooted in faith,” Kell said.

Tickets are $20 and available online at www.lccs.com/fishfry through Nov. 19, with limited tickets available at the door. Volunteers are also encouraged to sign up on the same site to help make the event a success.
