Canton Symphony teams up with G. Sirak Band for genre-blending concert
Divergent Sounds Series returns Oct. 23 at The Auricle with a rock-meets-symphony collaboration celebrating storytelling and musical fusion.
The Canton Symphony Orchestra’s Divergent Sounds Series continues its creative collaborations this fall with an eclectic mix of rock and symphonic sound when The G. Sirak Band takes the stage Thursday, Oct. 23, 2025, at The Auricle, 201 Cleveland Ave. NW in Canton. Doors open at 7 p.m., and the show begins at 7:30.
Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. They can be purchased at cantonsymphony.org, by calling 330-452-2094, or by emailing boxoffice@cantonsymphony.org.
Led by Cleveland musician, author and financial services veteran Gary Sirak, The G. Sirak Band is known for its thoughtful, narrative-driven songs that mix pop, rock and Americana influences. The band’s music blends storytelling and melody to explore life’s challenges, humor and simple joys — themes Sirak has developed through both his professional experience and passion for music.
“The G. Sirak Band offers a fresh perspective on life’s experiences,” the Canton Symphony said in its event announcement. “The ensemble blends storytelling with a mix of pop, rock and Americana influences.”
The concert pairs the group with musicians from the Canton Symphony Orchestra for an evening designed to bridge genres and audiences. The Divergent Sounds Series aims to bring together local and regional artists from a range of musical backgrounds — from indie and jazz to hip-hop and folk — with the orchestra’s instrumentalists, offering listeners a new way to experience live symphonic music.
The Auricle, located in Canton’s arts district, provides an intimate setting for the performance. The venue describes itself as a space that “connects people through community with music and art in every form.” Patrons attending the concert may park in the Eric Snow YMCA lot or in The Auricle’s own lot.
The event is presented in partnership with The Summit FM and supported by ArtsinStark, Visit Canton, the Downtown Canton Partnership and Sirak Financial.
