In other business, the board appointed President Adam Doane as president pro tempore to conduct the organizational meeting Jan. 12, 2026.
The board accepted three donations: $5,000 from Ken Brott for the benefit of the robotics program; $500 from David and Tracey Jackson of Macon, Ga., for the benefit of the Steven and Diane Breit Family Scholarship Fund; and $816 from National Whitetails Unlimited of Sturgeon Bay, Wis., for the benefit of the National Archery in the Schools Program at Lake Elementary School.
The board agreed to purchase a 2018 Chevrolet 3500 HD pickup truck from Lake Township for $22,000.
The board approved the first reading of the 2026-27 school calendar. Final approval is expected at the next meeting Jan. 12, 2026.
