Look at the Past: Historical Tin Shop in Cadiz
This shop was located on E. Market Street, just below what is today the Cadiz Insurance Agency. There is a parking lot there today.
The Tin Shop sold nails, shot guns, revolvers, cartridges, shot, powder lead, agricultural implements, paints, oils, varnish, grates for fireplace fronts, stove piping and fittings for wood stoves, sheet ironware, cake molds, muffin tins, tin containers for food storage and spices, ladles and colanders, pie pans, and tinware for cooking and food preparation, and tin lanterns and candleholders that were used to illuminate homes before electric lighting (Dec. 26, 1892 electric lights were turned on in Cadiz for the first time). They also did custom orders and repair work.
