Thursday, Dec. 11, the Harrison Central Lady Huskies traveled to Indian Creek to face the Lady Redskins but saw their two-game winning streak come to an end in a 60-33 loss.
Indian Creek’s offense set the tone early and maintained control throughout the contest, building a decisive margin by halftime and continuing to extend the lead in the second half.
Kara Blackburn led Harrison Central with 8 points, including 2 bonus field goals. Bailey Smith added 6 points, while Emily Cope finished with 5. Ava Conley scored 4 points, and Mik Pelegreen and Zoe Whipkey each contributed 3. Ady Stull and Shayla Nameth rounded out the scoring with 2 points apiece.
The Lady Huskies scored 8 points in the first quarter, 2 in the second, 11 in the third and 8 in the fourth. Harrison Central made 4 bonus field goals and finished 1 of 3 from the free-throw line.
Indian Creek was led by Kaydence Walker, who scored 26 points. Gracie Klinesmith followed with 15 points, while Gabby Taylor had 8 and Riley Sadler added 7. Evelyn Leach chipped in 3 points.
Walker made 1 3-point field goal for the Lady Redskins. Taylor and Klinesmith each connected twice from beyond the arc, and Leach added 1.
Harrison Central will look to rebound Saturday when it hosts Steubenville Central. The loss drops the Lady Huskies to 3-3 on the season.
