The Harrison Central Trap Team, now in their second official year is looking forward to participating at the state level on June 8.
The group, led by Tom Watson finished second in the fall league last year. They are currently second in spring league as well. The Huskies consist of 18 shooters, both male and female. Last year six qualified for Nationals. State competition includes all shooters.
The team has some impressive stats with Cooper Hendershot finishing second last year in the conference as well as in the state, competing with 657 shooters. Isabel Neal finished first in conference and fourth female at state. Neal also tied for 32 overall in the state, competing against 657 as well.
Other male shooters finishing in the top ten in their conference was William Shaulis, fourth with a 23.80 out of 25 record, as well as John Gray finishing sixth with an average of 23.30 out of 25. A total of seven shooters finished in the top 100: Cooper Hendershot, William Shaulis, Isabella Neal, John Gray, Brayden McAfee, Kayson Hidey, Joey Thornton and Domnic Maffitt.
Londyn Kolinski also placed in the top ten in the female division with sixth place scoring a 16.70 out of 25.
The Team performs at the Jewett Sportsman Club. The competitions are done primarily virtually. They do travel at times and have a fall Pennsylvania Invitational they attend annually.

Coaches are Tom Watson, Matt Hendershot, Will Cramblett, and Cody Maffitt. Range Safety Officer is Doug Neal. Scorekeeper is Kevin Haney.
