Harrison Central’s cross-country team hit the road Saturday, Sept. 13, to compete in the 2025 Nanny Goat Invitational at West Holmes. Several runners turned in solid efforts on the course.
In the boys’ race, Kodence Ortiz placed 48th out of 89 runners with a time of 14:36. Teammate Knox Krupinski finished 78th in 16:48, about two minutes behind Ortiz.
On the girls’ side, Aubrie Moss led the Huskies with a 27th-place finish out of 64 runners, clocking 24:26. Teammate Lilly Renner placed 27th in her heat with a time of 33:44.
“This was a good day and a good race for me,” Moss said. “Coach Drapp keeps us running to stay in shape, and each time we do, it only increases our abilities. I like this course at West Holmes. I ran with the determination to accomplish a new personal best, and I did just that.”
In another boys’ heat, Michael Abel came in 38th with a time of 21:46, while Bryce Sobleski also placed 38th in his group, finishing in 23:31.
“The kids ran well and continued to have an exciting time at the meet,” head coach Doug Drapp said. “It was exciting to see Aubrie Moss achieve a personal best. Each of our runners said they are already anxious to return to the invitational next year.”
