Cadiz Business Association presents annual business awards
Awards presented during the evening included New Business of the Year, Organization of the Year, Cadiz Citizen of the Year, Sweetest Peach and the Lifetime Achievement Award.

The Cadiz Business Association held its annual Business Awards Ceremony Nov. 14 at Sally Buffalo Park inside Wallace Lodge. The event drew business representatives, families, nominators and nominees who gathered to recognize outstanding contributions within the community. Awards presented during the evening included New Business of the Year, Organization of the Year, Cadiz Citizen of the Year, Sweetest Peach and the Lifetime Achievement Award.
Tom Kenny, known as the Voice of the Huskies, served as master of ceremonies. He welcomed attendees and introduced nominators, nominees and businesses in the order of their presentations.
Before the meal, Cadiz Village Administrator Brandon Ludwig gave an overview of positive business developments and recent improvements within the village.
The meal for the evening was prepared and served by Homestead Catering.
Award recipients were announced as follows: New Business of the Year, Keesey Chiropractic; Organization of the Year, Puskarich Public Library; Business of the Year, B’s Bouquets; Cadiz Citizen of the Year, Joyce Klingler; Sweetest Peach, Monick DeLuca; and Lifetime Achievement Award, Nan Mattern.
“I feel honored to have been part of this evening’s ceremony,” said Milo Baker, executive director of the Harrison County Regional Chamber of Commerce. “All of the awards presented tonight have gone to some of the best businesses in Cadiz. I would like to further commend both Joyce Klingler and Nan Mattern for their awards. Both of these ladies are part of the chamber, and they do a lot for the communities. This was a great job done by all of the presenters and the awardees tonight.”
CBA officer Callie Anderson closed the evening.
“What an amazing evening,” Anderson said. “Congratulations to all of the nominees and winners. We want to thank everyone for attending this event. A special thanks to Homestead Catering for the wonderful meal and to all of the presenters. It was inspiring to see everyone come together to recognize the boundless good in our village. We are hoping for even more positive growth and unity in the coming year.”
