Preserving family history for future generations
Explore ways to document and share your legacy in Ohio communities
Do you know anything about your great-great-ancestors? Do you know where they came from, their life history or struggles?
In the future generations, what do you want to be remembered for? What will you pass on to your family? Is it a very old piece of furniture, written journals, the family Bible, money or history? Maybe it was your words, your personality, education, your humor, your faith or genealogy stories.
Have you recorded anything to pass on to the future way ahead of you? Have you clearly marked objects you want to stay in the family? Could you hand it to them now? Take photos and records of the decisions you make.
I want to be remembered for my faith and my sense of humor. As our family historian, I have already answered a lot of history. Don't wait.
