Coshocton swimmers open season with strong second-place team finish
Redskins earn multiple top-three performances at home meet against Cambridge, John Glenn, River View and Ridgewood.
Dec. 1 was Coshocton's first swim meet of the season held at the Janet Jones Mulligan Natatorium. Teams included Coshocton High School, Cambridge High School, John Glenn High School, River View High School and Ridgewood High School.
Coshocton’s varsity swim team placed second overall while the Coshocton girls tied second with John Glenn and boys placed second.
The CHS boys placed second in the 200-meter medley relay, which consisted of Peyton Underwood, Michael Danielek, Ean Casey and Landon Lance.
Coshocton's Emme Jackson placed second and Shiann Stubbs fifth in the 200-meter freestyle.
The CHS 50-meter freestyle for girls included Jacie Aronhalt in third, Ava Hall in sixth, Cami Loomis in 10th, Alianna Tittle in 11th, Adair Hayhurst in 13th, Madelyn Laymen in 14th, Harmony Fisher in 15th, Rihanna Lewis in 17th, Emma Pittman in 18th, Kaelyn McClister in 19th and Lily Thorson in 20th.
The 50-meter freestyle for boys included Michael Danielek in fourth, Peyton Underwood in seventh and Landon Lance in 16th.
The 100-meter freestyle for girls included Emme Jackson in first, Alianna Tittle in fifth, Madelyn Laymen in sixth, Harmony Fisher in seventh, Adair Hayhurst in eighth and Rihanna Lewis in ninth.
Ean Casey placed second in the 400-meter freestyle.
The 200-meter freestyle relay for girls placed second and consisted of Jacie Aronhalt, Ava Hall, Cami Loomis and Emme Jackson. The boys placed fourth, which consisted of Peyton Underwood, Landon Lance, Ean Casey and Michael Danielek.
Abi Little placed fifth in the girls 100-meter backstroke.
Ean Casey placed second and Peyton Underwood third in the boys 100-meter backstroke.
Jacie Aronhalt placed third in the girls 100-meter breaststroke, and Michael Danielek placed first.
The girls (A) 400-meter freestyle relay placed second and consisted of Jacie Aronhalt, Terra Wilcox, Emme Jackson and Ava Hall. The girls (B) relay placed third and consisted of Shiann Stuffs, Abi Little, Maddy Laymen and Cami Loomis.
