Newcomerstown woman faces jury trial in Carroll County theft case
Tiffany M. Quillen accused of stealing and pawning bracelet belonging to her mother, a protected class victim.
The jury trial of a Newcomerstown woman was scheduled to begin Tuesday in Carroll County Common Pleas Court.
The case involves Tiffany M. Quillen, 42, of 425 E. State St., Newcomerstown, who was indicted June 4, 2025, by the Carroll County grand jury on a fourth-degree felony charge of theft from a person in a protected class.
According to Carroll County Prosecuting Attorney Steven D. Barnett, Quillen allegedly stole a bracelet from her mother, who was age 65 or older, and pawned it twice without her mother’s consent before returning it. The bracelet was valued at more than $1,000 but less than $75,000, Barnett said.
The case was to be heard by a 12-member jury, and a verdict or change of plea was unavailable at press time this week.
