Man killed in Carroll County crash
The crash remains under investigation
The Ohio State Highway Patrol’s New Philadelphia Post is investigating a two-vehicle crash that killed one person on County Road 54 near Township Road 136 in Union Township in Carroll County.
Tuesday, Jan. 13, at about 5:47 p.m., a gray 2016 Ram was traveling southeast on County Road 54. A light blue 2009 Honda Fit was traveling northwest on County Road 54 when it crossed the centerline and struck the Ram head-on. The Honda Fit then spun off the right side of the road into a ditch. The Ram also went off the right side of the road and struck a guardrail.
The Honda was driven by Frankie L. Bouslaugh, 82, of Carrollton. The Ram was driven by Christian D. Mullins, 21, of Weston, West Virginia. Bouslaugh was pronounced dead at the scene by the Carroll County Coroner’s Office. Mullins and his passenger were not injured.
Scio Fire and EMS, the Carrollton Fire Department, Rocky’s Towing, Rosenberry’s Towing, and the Carroll County Road and Bridge Department assisted at the scene.
Alcohol is not suspected as a factor in the crash. Bouslaugh was not wearing a seat belt. The crash remains under investigation.
