New Case Filed
Kelly J. Fedell of 607 32nd St. NW, Massillon, has filed a complaint for money
damages, quiet title, fraudulent inducement and unjust enrichment against
Sharon R. Maley of 6996 Spring Walk Dr., Canton, et al.
Plaintiff is seeking compensatory damages, incidental and consequential
damages, special damages, etc., along with costs exceeding $25,000 and a
finding that all royalty funds disbursed as of Aug. 18, 2025, be held in a
court-ordered escrow account regarding a dispute over property at 1151 Teal Rd.
SW, Dellroy.

Philip H. Grimm of 2256 Alliance Rd. NW, Malvern, vs. Christie J. White of 5073

Criminal Cases
Nicholas A. Slabach, 44, of 13584 Orrville St. NW, North Lawrence, has
withdrawn a former not guilty plea to a July 11, 2023, indictment charging him
with aggravated possession of drugs (5th-degree felony) and entered a guilty
plea to the original charge. Slabach was sentenced to six months in jail, plus
a $500 fine and all court costs. However, all but 32 days of the jail sentence
were suspended on conditions all fines and costs are paid within 12 months and
upon the defendant’s good behavior; defendant also was given credit for 32 days
of jail time.
Jeanetta A. Smith, 38, of 6740 1/2 Geiselman
Rd., Minerva, has withdrawn a former not guilty plea to a May 7, 2025,
indictment charging her with aggravated possession of drugs (3rd-degree felony)
and possession of drugs (1st-degree misdemeanor) and entered guilty pleas to an
amended indictment charging Smith with aggravated possession of drugs
(5th-degree felony) and Count 2. Smith was sentenced to 180 days in jail, plus
a $500 fine and court costs on Count 1 and a concurrent 180-day jail sentence
on Count 2. However, all but 50 days of the jail sentence were suspended with
credit for 50 days of jail time served, plus a one-year probation.
Tabitha Lynn Thomas, 44, of 331 Holly Rd. NW,
Dellroy, has withdrawn a former not guilty plea to a Jan. 2, 2025, indictment
charging her with strangulation (4th-degree felony) and two counts of domestic
violence (each 4th-degree felonies) and entered guilty pleas to an amended
indictment charging her with the domestic violence charges only. Thomas was
sentenced to a three-year community control program on 18 conditions, including
a $250 fine and all court costs to be paid within 36 months.
Johnny W. Stewart, 34, of 244 Bonnieview Ave.,
Alliance, has withdrawn a former not guilty plea to a June 4, 2025, indictment
charging him with aggravated possession of drugs (3rd-degree felony) and drug
paraphernalia offenses (4th-degree misdemeanor) and entered guilty pleas to the
original charges. Stewart was sentenced to a three-year community control
program on 17 conditions, which include a four- to six-month confinement to the
Eastern Ohio Corrections Center, plus a $500 fine and all court costs to be
paid within 36 months.
Substantial evidence has been found that Ashly
J. Robinson, 41, of 7608 Goodland Ave., Waynesburg, has violated her community
control sanctions imposed Dec. 13, 2024. However, the court elected not to
revoke the defendant’s probation at this time and instead remanded her to the
Stark Regional Community Correctional Center until successful completion of the
program at that facility.
William L. Woolf, 41, of 1012 E. Summit St.,
Alliance, has entered a not guilty plea to a July 9, 2024, indictment charging
him with failure to comply with an order or signal of a police officer. Woolf
was found ineligible for bond due to his current incarceration with the Ohio
Department of Rehabilitation and Correction.
At a pre-trial conference held Aug. 4, the
case of Amy J. Spears, 50, of 99 McCook Ave., Carrollton, who was indicted May
7, 2025, on charges of theft in office and tampering with records (both
3rd-degree felonies), was continued for a four-day jury trial to commence Oct.
14 with another pre-trial set for Sept. 18; $50,000 recognizance bond set May
22 continued.
Probable cause has been found that Adam L.
Tarr, 39, of 8058 Stallion Rd. NW, Magnolia, has violated a one-year probation
imposed June 16, 2025, on conviction of assault; defendant released on $25,000
recognizance bond and case continued to Sept. 18 for a merits hearing.
Ayden S. Long, 29, of 614 Murray Ave.,
Minerva, has entered a not guilty plea to a July 9, 2025, indictment charging
the defendant with two counts of aggravated possession of drugs and one count
of failure to comply with an order or signal of a police officer; Long was
released on a $50,000 recognizance bond and case continued to Sept. 18 for a
pre-trial.
