The Carroll County Antique Collectors Club will host its 25th annual Power Show Sept. 19–21 at the Carroll County Fairgrounds in Carrollton. Admission and parking are free.

The event, traditionally held in October, has been moved to September this year to take advantage of longer daylight hours and reduce the risk of snow or freezing weather.

This year’s featured brand is Massey Ferguson, along with its heritage lines, including Wallis, Ferguson and Massey-Harris. Additional featured brands include Simplicity, Speedex and Briggs & Stratton.

“Last year our featured brand was Allis Chalmers and we had excellent participation with a nice variety of orange tractors,” said CCACC President Orlo Brown. “Local collector and longtime Allis Chalmers dealer Jim Long brought out a great display of unique Allis tractors, forklifts and a vintage dealership truck. This year we are featuring Massey Ferguson. I am excited to see what local Massey collectors / former dealership owners, the Griffith family will have on display. Our car, semi-truck and motorcycle show on Sunday also typically draws in some very unique displays.”

A variety of tractors will be on display at the 25th annual Power Show held Sept. 19-21.

Throughout the weekend, visitors will find antique tractors, garden tractors, farm implements, tools and domestic items on display. Demonstrations will include a threshing machine, straw baling and a corn sheller. Food will be available from the kitchen, served by local 4-H clubs under the direction of Heather Casper. A craft and flea market will also be on site.

Friday, Sept. 19 The show opens with a tractor drive through downtown Carrollton at noon. At 6 p.m., the Ohio Mod Rods will host a garden tractor pull, including a “Home Town” class for stock garden tractors.

Saturday, Sept. 20 Truck and tractor pulls begin at 1 p.m. with Stimmel’s Track Boss transfer sled. Pull classes include Stock/Antique tractors (4,500 to 6,500 pounds), Open Tractor, Classic Super Stock, Diesel 4WD Truck, larger Stock classes up to 14,000 pounds and Street Semi Trucks. Pulls cost $20 per hook.

The Saturday schedule is being coordinated by Mike Lozier and Colton Casper, with help from many other volunteers. Sponsors include Griffith & Son Trucking and The Rock Shop.

Sunday, Sept. 21 Deadweight tractor pulls begin at noon with classes from 4,500 to 14,000 pounds, including a combined Red Power class at 7,000 pounds. Hooks cost $10 each. From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., the fairgrounds will host a vintage car, semi-truck and motorcycle show with DJ Spikeman providing music. Awards will be announced at 3 p.m., followed by the club’s raffle drawing at 3:30 p.m.

Prizes include a 1958 Allis Chalmers D14 or $2,000 cash, a Blackstone 28-inch griddle donated by ACE Hardware Carrollton, and a handcrafted wooden toy barn by Keith Thompson.
