Wooster athletes earn All-Ohio Cardinal Conference basketball honors

Wooster players recognized on OCC hoops teams for 2025-26 season.

Jay-Cee Hackett earned second-team All-Ohio Cardinal Conference honors, highlighting a season in which Wooster had multiple players recognized across the all-conference basketball teams.

Wooster was well represented on the All-Ohio Cardinal Conference basketball teams for the 2025-26 season, earning multiple honors across the boys and girls sides.

On the boys side, Adrian Jelks was named to the second team while Sam Schantz and Drew Thomas received honorable mention. The conference Player of the Year was Ashland senior Paxon Ediger.

For the girls, Brooke Ritchie secured first-team honors for Wooster, and Jay-Cee Hackett was selected to the second team. Kayla Reid and Zoey Phillips earned honorable mention. Ashland junior Kennedy Lacey was named the conference Player of the Year, and Ashland’s Renee Holt was selected as Coach of the Year.
