Area qualifiers earn top four district finishes
In the northeast a plethora of area track and field athletes advanced to regionals, held in North Royalton (Division II), Austintown (Divs. III and IV) and Cuyahoga Heights (Div. V). Leading the way were Norwayne, Waynedale, Triway and Rittman across the board, as all eyes now turn to the next level with one more step to state.
Boys
Div. II Tallmadge District
—North Royalton Regional qualifiers: Wooster, Kaj Meier (400, long jump) and Wylie Fuqua (shot put, discus).
—State bound: Day one of regionals is May 27, with day two May 29. Field events start at 4 p.m., and running starts at 5:30 p.m. on both days. Top five in each event will move on to state.
Div. III Woodridge District
