Wayne County Sports Hall of Fame banquet tickets available

25th class will be inducted June 20 at Wooster's Greystone Event Center

Chippewa girls coach Ruth Coney, currently at 484 coaching wins and counting, is part of the Wayne County Sports Hall of Fame Class of 2026. Tickets are on sale for the WCSHOF’s enshrinement banquet June 20 at Greystone Event Center in Wooster.

The Wayne County Sports Hall of Fame’s 25th Biennial Induction Banquet will be Saturday, June 20 at Greystone Event Center, 50 Riffel Road, Wooster. Doors will open at 5 p.m. with dinner at 5:30 p.m. and the ceremony to follow. Tickets are $25 per person and $20 for children age 12 and under, and they must be purchased in advance by June 6. Guests will be checked in at the door.

For tickets, send a check payable to WCSHOF along with how many seats you are paying for, your name and the name of the inductee you are attending for. Include email for return receipt and send to Wayne County Sports HOF, P.O. Box 1193, Wooster, OH 44691.

To order by Venmo, put your name, name of the inductee you are attending for, amount sent and number of seats in the memo and send to @Gary-Plant-12. This will ensure guests are seated in the same area.

This also will mark the 50th anniversary of the WCSHOF’s inaugural class in 1976. The Class of 2026 includes Andrew Bender, Ryan Berg, Ruth Coney, Jenna (Pew) Mack, Abby Kacsandi Majesky, Sawyer Polen, Travis Snyder, Joy Taylor, Adam Wallace and Crystal Barber Ward. Jess and Beth Hamman, longtime owners of Berkey Trophies, will be honored with the Harold Oswald Award for service to athletics in Wayne County.
