Annual Coats for Kids Project set for Oct. 11 in Wooster to help children from infant through 12th grade.
The Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary will host its Coats for Kids Project Saturday, Oct. 11 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, 621 College Ave., Wooster.
This autumn The Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary will celebrate 32 years of giving new coats to Wayne County children in need (infant through 12th grade).
Attendees can sign up and shop the same day, but the following information is needed:
—Proof of identification: Bring a photo ID for the child and guardian (birth certificate, Medicare cards).
—Proof of income.
—Proof of address.
Those who have already applied for a coat and filled out the application this year at The Salvation Army table at the People to People back-to-school event only need to bring their IDs.
Generally, 300-400 new coats are given to children in Wayne County each year.
