Dover librarian leads Ghosts in the Graveyard tour on Sept. 20
Local history librarian Kim Jurkovic invites the public to meet her and Ghosts in the Graveyard Saturday, Sept. 20, at 11 a.m. Jurkovic will guide guests through Maple Grove Cemetery, sharing stories of those laid to rest in the city’s second cemetery. Costumed “ghosts” may appear along the route to tell of their lives, accomplishments and tragedies.
Jurkovic is curator at the Tuscarawas County Historical Society and the local history librarian at the Dover Public Library. She recently received the Hero of History Award from the Tuscarawas County Heritage Home Association for her work preserving and sharing community history.
Reservations are required at doverlibrary.org or by calling 330-343-6123. The tour begins at 11 a.m. at the Maple Grove Cemetery entrance at West Slingluff Avenue and North Walnut Street in Dover.
