The Medina County District Library’s Snuggle Up & Read program collected enough donated pajamas and books to create 111 Valentine’s Day gift sets for local families.

The Medina County District Library hosted its Snuggle Up & Read program in December to create Valentine’s Day gift sets for children.

The program encourages patrons to donate pajamas and age-appropriate books at all MCDL locations, similar to a Toys for Tots-style campaign, but focused on pajamas and books. In 2025, patrons and staff donated enough items to assemble 111 pajama and book sets.

Volunteers at Buckeye Library sorted the pajamas by size, matched them with appropriate books and packaged them for donation to Birthcare of Medina County and Catholic Charities’ Medina location.

The items were delivered Feb. 10 and will be available to clients at both agencies.
