Medina City Schools launches Coats for Kids Express drive Nov. 3-7
District collecting new and gently used winter clothing to help local children stay warm this season
Medina City Schools, in partnership with the Transportation Department, will host its annual Coats for Kids Express drive Nov. 3-7. The initiative invites community members to donate new or gently used winter items — including coats, hats, mittens, gloves and snow pants — to help local children stay warm this winter.
Donations may be dropped off at any district school building, including the Board of Education Office at 739 Weymouth Road, throughout the week or during scheduled collection times.
The Coats for Kids Express will make stops at schools across the district: Claggett Middle School, 420 E. Union St., from 10-11 a.m. and A.I. Root Middle School, 333 W. Sturbridge Drive, from 11:15 a.m.-12:15 p.m. on Monday; Helping Hands Preschool at Heritage, 833 Guilford Blvd., from 10-11 a.m. and Canavan Elementary, 825 Lawrence St., from 11:15 a.m.-12:15 p.m. on Tuesday; Fenn Elementary, 320 N. Spring Grove St., from 10-11 a.m. and Northrop Elementary, 950 E. Reagan Parkway, from 11:15 a.m.-12:15 p.m. on Wednesday; Blake Elementary, 4704 Lexington Ridge Drive, from 10-11 a.m. and Waite Elementary, 4765 Cobblestone Park Drive, from 11:15 a.m.-12:15 p.m. on Thursday; and Medina High School, 777 E. Union St., from 10-11 a.m. on Friday.
