Library offers convenient passport service for spring, summer travelers
Medina County District Library provides Sunday appointments and full-service passport processing
Passport services continued to grow in 2025, with nearly 4,000 passports issued. Beverly Henry, a customer service clerk at the Medina Library, has processed passports since the service began in the early 2010s.

The Medina County District Library is the only location in Medina County where travelers can have a passport photo taken, an application completed, mailed and expedited on a Sunday afternoon.
Passport service is available at the Medina, Brunswick and Lodi libraries, with Sunday service offered only at the Medina and Brunswick locations from mid-September through mid-May.
The winter months are the busiest time for passport service, as travelers plan spring break and summer vacations. MCDL customer service staff processed 3,958 passports in 2025, and demand continues to grow each year. Medina Library Manager Christine Gramm said appointments are recommended at all locations to help patrons avoid long wait times.
“It can take up to an hour to take photos and process paperwork for a family of four,” Gramm said.
The final passport appointment of the day is scheduled two hours before closing.
