Healing Hearts group gathers for February meeting
Widows and widowers share lunch, plan activities and upcoming events
Forty-one members and three guests attended the February meeting of Healing Hearts. President Bob ended the meeting with the thought for the month: “Have a nice taco.” Members then enjoyed a lunch of tacos and baked potatoes.
Healing Hearts is a group for widows and widowers that usually meets on the fourth Wednesday of each month at 1 p.m. at the Brunswick Library. The purpose of the group is to remember the past while learning to have fun again and enjoy outings to restaurants with friends.
A calendar of events for March was distributed, and the 10 members who attended the Valentine Party at Dance d’Elegance expressed enthusiasm about the event.
Members also discussed the possibility of taking an ocean cruise, and a special meeting was called to share additional information.
The next meeting will be an Easter celebration ham dinner on March 25. All widows and widowers are invited to attend and share the luncheon.
