Rally comes up short for Centerburg bowlers
Strong Baker games not enough as Trojans fall to Northmor, while teams split recent bowling matches
A furious rally in the Baker games wasn’t quite enough for the Centerburg boys’ bowling team on Dec. 22.
The Trojans trailed Northmor by 137 pins after the individual games, rolled two solid Baker games (194-189), but still fell, 2,026-1,983.
Michael Wallace fired a 242-200 (442 series) to lead the Trojans. Shawn Carter shot 158-197.
The Centerburg boys’ team cruised to a 1,699-1,326 victory over Crestline on Dec. 17.
Zack Garloch led the Trojans with a 353 series (165-188). Wallace shot 338 (181-157) and Carter 326 (214-112).
The Centerburg girls’ team fell to Crestline, 1,163-831, on Dec. 17.
Jaelyn Caldwell had a high game of 119 to lead the Trojans. Azala Compton had a 114 game.
The girls then dropped a 1,835-1,137 decision to Northmor on Dec. 22.
Compton led the Trojans with a 296 series (158-138). Caldwell shot 182 (102-80).
