Fox, Thomas to be featured at Kudos
Photographer/painter and woodworker are featured artists of the month
Local art lovers will have the opportunity to meet two new artists during a special event at Kudos on May 15.
The monthly “Meet the Artist” event will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. at Kudos, 10 S. Main St., and will feature photographer and painter Bridget Fox along with woodworker Dudley Thomas.
The event is free and open to the public.
Fox, one of the gallery’s newest artists, showcases a collection of photography inspired largely by scenes from Lake Michigan. In addition to her photography, she also creates abstract paintings, offering visitors a look at her range of artistic expression.
Thomas brings a different medium to the event with his handcrafted woodwork. His creations include charcuterie boards, cutting boards, coasters and utensils, as well as a variety of other functional pieces designed with both beauty and utility in mind.
The event offers attendees a chance to interact with the artists, learn more about their creative processes and view their work up close.
Kudos’ monthly series highlights local and regional artists, providing a space for the community to connect with art in a relaxed setting.
Guests can also enjoy wine and light snacks while browsing the featured pieces and visiting with the artists.
Organizers encourage community members to attend, whether they are longtime supporters of the arts or simply curious to learn more about the creative talent in the area.
The May event offers a unique opportunity to experience two distinct artistic styles in one evening, combining visual art and handcrafted design.
For more information, visitors can stop by Kudos during regular business hours or attend the event on May 15.
