Knox County Task Force for Older Adults presents senior resource day
The Knox County Task Force for Older Adults will be hosting its annual Senior Resource Day on Wednesday, Sept. 17, from 10 a.m. to 1 p. m. at the First Church of the Nazarene, located at 807 Coshocton Avenue in Mount Vernon.
The Sam Ingraham Senior Resource Day aims to allow seniors and caregivers in Knox County to explore informational displays and interact with representatives from various organizations in the community that cater to aging adults. This event will offer valuable information on topics such as transportation, Alzheimer’s awareness & resources, home healthcare, food insecurity, continuous senior care, hospice care, grief counseling, home energy assistance, social activities in the county, and more.
Admission to this event is free, and lunch will be provided for all attendees. Door prizes will be awarded at the conclusion of the event, and each display will feature free items promoting their respective services.
If you are a professional offering services to seniors and their caregivers in Knox County and wish to showcase your services at this event, please contact Molly Morehouse, vice president of the task force, to request a registration form at molly.morehouse@kch.org.
