The Ohio State University Alumni Club of Knox County announces scholarship recipients

Mount Vernon's Mussard receives club's largest scholarship award

The Ohio State University Alumni Club of Knox County has awarded $18,500 in scholarships for the 2026-27 school year.

Scholarship recipients are Lane Mussard, Micah Phillips, Teagan Tyson, Cooper Lowe, Tyce Davidson, Ainsley Bonaudi, Christopher Hawthorne, Hannah Hofferberth and Oliver Griffith.

Mussard received the club’s “Big Ten Thousand” award. He is a graduate of Mount Vernon High School and will major in Food, Agriculture and Biological Engineering. Lane is the son of Martin and Jana Mussard.

Other recipients include:

— Micah Phillips, a graduate of Fredericktown High School, a Public Policy, Analysis and Law major; daughter of Chris and Kerry Phillips.

— Teagan Tyson, a Mount Vernon High School graduate, the daughter of Rachel Tyson and Casey Tyson, she is majoring in Radiologic Science and Therapy.

— Cooper Lowe, a Fredericktown High School graduate is an Engineering Technology major, he is the son of Mark and Carla Lowe.

— Tyce Davidson is a graduate of Mount Vernon High School, majoring in Turfgrass Management Technology. Tyce is the son of Melissa and Jason Comer.

Current students receiving awards are Ainsley Bonaudi, daughter of Elizabeth Bonaudi and Matt Bonaudi, a sophomore majoring in Environmental Policy and Decision Making.

Previous “Big 10” winners continuing to receive awards include Christopher Hawthorne, son of Kevin and Dorothea Hawthorne; Hannah Hofferberth, daughter of Kristin and John Hofferberth; and Oliver Griffith, son of Tyler and Amanda Griffith.

The Ohio State University Alumni Scholarship Awards, are merit based, awarded to students recommended by the Scholarship Committee of the OSU Alumni Club of Knox County and graduating from a Knox County school and/or living in Knox County.

Scholarships are funded through membership in The Ohio State University Alumni Club of Knox County, donations and the annual Buckeye Spirit Event held by the club each October, this year the event will be Oct. 27.
