The Knox County Career Center Building Trades program recognized seven students who earned the status of Building Trades Elite.

Building Trades Elite (BT Elite) is a program that began in 2019-20. The program’s criteria center around attendance, discipline, industry credentialing, and extracurricular activities. The BT Elite program is completely company-sponsored.

Students who earned “BT Elite” status were: Mackenlee Fairall, Ethan Hull, Walter Greene, Johnny Bender, Gage Selby, Jason Butler, and Truman Chester.

Seventy-seven students from the Building Trades program have now earned “BT Elite” status since its inception.

“We appreciate the companies that have partnered with us on the BT Elite program. The BT Elite program gives students something to strive for each day. Our industry partners will continue to benefit from hiring a well-rounded and industry-prepared student,” said Joe Stallard, KCCC’s Building Trades instructor.

KCCC & the Building Trades program would like to thank the companies that sponsor BT Elite — J & B Acoustical, Meade Roofing, Carpenters Local 735, Laborers Local 1216, Habitat for Humanity, Kokosing Construction, and ACP.
