Dean’s Jewelry is bringing new meaning to a longtime customer favorite this June. Their annual Repair & Shine event returns with a renewed purpose under a new name, Hope Sparkles. This community-focused initiative is designed to care for customers’ jewelry while giving back to local families in need.

The event will take place June 16-20 at both Dean’s Jewelry locations in Coshocton and Mount Vernon, combining complimentary jewelry services with charitable support for each community’s local United Way. The Coshocton location will support United Way of Coshocton County, while the Mount Vernon location will support United Way of Knox County.

For years, Dean’s Jewelry has offered Repair & Shine as an opportunity for customers to bring in their most meaningful pieces for professional cleaning, inspection, and repair. This year, the experience expands beyond jewelry care, introducing a give-back component that allows customers to support their community simply by participating.

“Repair is about restoring what we love,” said co-owner Michelle Turner. “Hope Sparkles connects that idea to something bigger. When we help a piece of jewelry shine again, we’re also helping people right here in our community.”

Throughout the event, customers can enjoy complimentary jewelry cleaning, polishing, and repair assessments. As part of the initiative, a $5 community donation will be added to each repair service on behalf of Dean’s Jewelry, with additional optional donations available at checkout.

Guests can also participate in a jewelry raffle benefiting each location’s United Way partner. Raffle tickets will be available for $10 each, 3 for $25, or 8 for $50, with all raffle proceeds supporting United Way.

“United Way is honored to partner with Dean’s Jewelry for this exciting event,” said Katie Ellis, executive director of United Way of Knox County. “By joining United Way and Hope Sparkles, you are part of a movement that brings help and hope to your neighbors.”

As part of the week, Dean’s Jewelry will host Sparkle Match Day on June 19, during which the company will match community donations up to $1,000.

To make the week even sweeter, each community will have a local ice cream favorite joining the celebration. Guests in Coshocton can enjoy Jared’s Ice Cream, featuring 32 flavors of ice cream in Downtown Coshocton. On Sparkle Match Day, June 19, Mount Vernon guests can enjoy Chrome Cones, a nostalgic soft-serve ice cream truck inspired by classic cars, shiny chrome, and classic American muscle. Every ice cream customer receives one free raffle ticket.

Dean’s Jewelry has long been known for its commitment to craftsmanship and personalized service, and Hope Sparkles reflects a continued investment in the communities that have supported the business for generations.

Customers are encouraged to stop in during the event week to take advantage of complimentary services, enjoy local treats, participate in the raffle, and help support families in the Coshocton and Mount Vernon communities.
