Workshops for teens and adults offered
The Tuscarawas County Center for the Arts announced several workshops for teens and adults in May and June.
Terry Barnhill, a master photographer with more than 40 years of experience and a certified judge for the Professional Photographers of America, will lead a macro photography workshop Saturday, May 17 from 9-11:30 a.m. The cost is $20.
Dee Grossman will lead a four-week wheel-throwing pottery class beginning Saturday, June 7 from 9:30 a.m. to noon. Class size is limited.
Melissa Gish will facilitate a five-week hand-building clay workshop beginning Wednesday, June 4 from 10 a.m. to noon. The class will focus on creating clay objects using slab and coil construction, along with glazing techniques.
The cost for either pottery workshop is $150 or $125 for art center members. Fees include clay, glaze and firing.
