West Holmes girls tennis is brimming with potential
Brimming with potential is how first-year coach Morgan Gerber views the West Holmes girls tennis team.
“We are young and eager,” Gerber said. “We are ready to put forth our best effort and have fun. We also want to help shine a light on the sport of tennis and give it the love it deserves.”
Seniors Claire Drzazga, Natalie Thorpe and Tegan Clark are the returning letter winners. Joining them will be juniors Neveah Markle and Natalie Lint.
Adjusting on the fly will be paramount for the Lady Knights.
“We are young in experience, but we have no shortcoming of readiness,” Gerber said.
West Holmes finished 14-5 overall and 3-4 in the Ohio Cardinal Conference last season. Gerber expects her team to improve its conference record.
“There is some tough competition in the OCC, but I feel confident we can finish better than last year,” Gerber said.
