Bonnie Porter gave a program from “Harvard Health Publishing,” using an article titled “Gaining Weight,” which discussed how it all depends on how many calories are consumed and burned. It also discussed what causes obesity. The greatest cause of obesity is genetics. How our bodies store or burn fat cells determines how easy or hard it is to lose weight. The club meets at the Nashville Global Methodist Church on Wednesdays at 5:30 p.m., with weigh-in at 5 p.m. The first meeting is free.
