TOPS discusses eating nutrient-dense foods

On July 30, TOPS OH1573 Nashville opened with pledges.

Janice Tope was the best weekly loser. She said to eat at least two (real) vegetables each day.

Leo Tope was the best monthly KOPS.

Lana Rush was the best weekly and monthly KOPS.

Leo Tope gave the program from July/August TOPS News from an article entitled “Stopping Middle Age Spread.” Members learned that as they age, their metabolisms tend to slow down, so they need to maintain a healthy diet and sufficient exercise. They also learned to focus on nutrient-dense foods such as fresh fruit, vegetables, whole grains, seafood, lean meat, eggs, nuts and seeds, exercise and drink plenty of liquids.

The club meets at the Nashville Global Methodist Church on Wednesdays at 5:30 p.m., with weigh-in at 5 p.m. The first meeting is free.
