September fall leaves are the best.
Their beauty cascades the hills’ crest!
Look for yellow, orange and deep reds.
The combination alone takes your breath!
Each day, look for trees that are starting to change.
The gradual over days is like turning the page!
As some leaves fall, they seem to be cradled,
Slowly swaying as the wind is gently ladled.
At times, the leaves are hurled with no direction.
The winds can be fierce with no discretion.
Some leaves seem to hang on for dear life,
As though fighting a battle with much strife!
Some seem to let go and trust their master,
Knowing they’re in good hands, in the hereafter.
They join with others so many indeed.
They’ve displayed being made from seed.
They last for their season and fall when they leave.
That’s a little pun ... but upon the ground they cleave!
The bundles are many, getting bagged while being raked.
Their memories linger as the next year we anticipate!
Now here’s all this talk just about leaves.
Do you ever wonder why God gave us these?
If you think on the ones hanging on through windy storms,
Have we not been there too ... seasons with their blustery forms?
When those leaves get pushed off their comfort zone,
They have to trust in their creator alone!
Their reality is different from ours, of course,
Yet we trust in our only one source!
Maybe it’s quite silly to be thinking about all this,
But really don’t we all by grace in God’s land exist?
We can learn and grow from all life changes,
No matter what culture or what languages!
In Jesus Christ we must place our trust.
Since he’s the only one who saved us!
Whether windy storms or faith we’re needing,
The Lord to us has ears heeding!
If you ever feel like you’re falling like those eye-catching leaves,
Remember you have a savior who knows all your bereaves.
He cradles you in his arms always.
You’re not forgotten in any of your days!
Whether juniper nights or a brisk walking way,
The Lord gives his beauty wherever you stay.
Let’s be glad we’re alive and able to be
All the Lord has given us with his endless possibilities!
“Happy Autumn!” I’d like to say,
With a promise from God’s word today.
God is faithful, and he has no lack,
And through your seasoned journey, he has your back!
