Strasburg Senior Center to host drive-in movie event
The second annual Strasburg Senior Center fundraiser, featuring a family drive-in night at Lynn Drive-In, will be held Wednesday, Aug. 13.
Tickets are available by donation, with a suggested price of $7. They may be purchased in advance through Aug. 1. Tickets purchased at the gate will be cash only.
“Tickets will be available to purchase prior to the event at the Strasburg Senior Center, located in the United Methodist Church social hall at 206 Second St. NW Monday, Tuesday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.,” said Heather Blacka, senior center site manager.
Family drive-in night is sponsored by Lynn Drive-In Movies and will include a 50/50 drawing and a raffle. Attendees will need an FM radio or boombox for audio.
Movies will begin at dusk, about 8:30 p.m., and will feature “Freaky Friday,” starring Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan, and “The Naked Gun,” featuring Liam Neeson.
Lynn Drive-In is located at 9735 U.S. Route 250, just north of Strasburg.
