Shooting sports club talks projects, safety
The Holmes County 4-H Shooting Sports Club met recently at the Eastern Holmes Sportsman’s Club.
President Zander Croskey opened the meeting for business. Lelynd Edens led the United States flag pledge. JC Baker led the 4-H flag pledge. Lucas Bailey gave the secretary’s report. Baker gave the treasurer’s report.
A discussion on club T-shirts was held. Club members voted to get the shirts. Danielle Bailey volunteered to make the arrangements.
A discussion was held on the fair booth theme, items needed to set up the fair booth, along with times, etc.
Project books and project displays were shared.
A discussion was held on the 4-H pledge, 4-H motto and the shooting sports safety matters.
Club members talked about judging their 4-H projects. Braxton Tish, health officer, shared a health tip. Baker, safety officer, shared a safety tip.
Croskey closed the meeting.
Disciplines shared by club members were archery, shotgun, rifle and pistol.
Refreshments were furnished by the Lucas Bailey family.
