Wayne County Schools Career Center, home to Ohio Technical Center of Wayne County, is inviting adults who want to start a new career or advance in their current field to attend an upcoming information session.

Session dates and times are available at www.wcscc.edu/adulted.

During the session attendees will tour the campus and meet with career center staff to explore career training programs, financial aid options, job placement support and more.

WCSCC offers full-time adult education programs in high-demand fields including administrative office (accounting and medical office tracks), cosmetology, dental assisting, manufacturing technologies (industrial maintenance, precision machining, robotics, welding), medical assisting, and practical nursing and the diploma registered nurse program. Short-term programs include nurse aide, phlebotomy, HVAC and fast track welding — ideal for adults seeking quick entry into the workforce with industry-recognized credentials.

Additionally, free Aspire academic and career readiness classes help adults refresh core skills, earn a high school equivalency diploma or participate in the adult diploma program. Certification prep also is available at no cost in areas like customer service representative and Microsoft Word.
