Music therapist to share wellness benefits at Sugarcreek Branch

The Tuscarawas County Public Library System will welcome music therapist Josie McCutcheon, MT-BC, CDP, to its Sugarcreek Branch Library Tuesday, July 15 at 6 p.m. for a program focused on the health benefits of music and how to incorporate it into daily life.

“Many of us already enjoy listening to some kind of music, so learning how we can utilize it to meet our health and wellness goals only makes it that much more enjoyable,” said Laura Russell, Sugarcreek Branch Library supervisor.

Russell said the program also will offer participants the chance to create personalized playlists. She hopes the session will raise awareness about music therapy and its practical applications.

“I think music therapy is a field that isn't well known or understood, but it can be vital in the care of ourselves or someone we care for,” she said.

The Sugarcreek Branch Library is located at 120 S. Broadway in Sugarcreek. To register, visit the event calendar atwww.tusclibrary.org or call 330-852-2813.
