Attack Team extends dual meet win streak to 49

The Holmes Area Wrestling Club Elementary Attack Team extended its dual meet win streak to 49 in a row in Ohio Youth Wrestling Association Mid-Ohio Division duals Dec. 20 at Black River High School.

The Attack Team posted a 78-38 win over Black River before downing Wooster Blue 75-38 and Loudonville 99-9. The Attack Team’s 49 dual meet win streak stretches back to Jan. 9, 2022.

“Overall, on the day I thought we were aggressive,” Attack Team coach Jarret Mathie said. “When harnessed the right way in matches, it's a huge asset.”

Mathie honored Lane Taylor as the Attack Team Varsity Wrestler of the Week.

Attack Team All-Star Wrestlers of the Week were Nash Conkle and Phillip Small.
