Loudonville Library hosts behind-the-scenes tour
Event on March 2 offers insight into book donations and volunteer opportunities.
The Friends of the Loudonville Library will host a behind-the-scenes program at 2 p.m. March 2 to highlight how donated books and materials are processed and sold to raise funds in support of the library.
Participants will tour the Friends Storage Room, where volunteers sort, clean and box donated items. Organizers also plan to share stories about unusual items discovered in donated books.
Attendees will have the opportunity to assist with inspecting, cleaning and sorting materials. Refreshments will be provided, along with time to speak with Friends volunteers about ways to support the library through the organization.
The program will take place in the lower-level meeting room A at the Loudonville Public Library.
