Loudonville FFA Alumni raffle supports ag education with beef giveaway
Proceeds from the Quarter of Beef Raffle will benefit local FFA programs; winner receives locally raised beef from Ayers Farms.
The Loudonville FFA Alumni & Supporters are giving local residents a chance to fill their freezers and help support agricultural education at the same time. The organization has launched a Quarter of Beef Raffle, featuring locally raised beef donated by Ayers Farms, Inc.
Tickets are $5 each or five for $20, with proceeds benefiting programs that promote agricultural learning and leadership in the Loudonville FFA chapter and the surrounding community. The drawing will be held Nov. 13, and the winner does not need to be present to win. Online ticket sales close Nov. 12.
The prize includes one quarter of beef, with processing arranged through Shreve Custom Meats in Shreve. The animal will be slaughtered Nov. 24, and the winner can work directly with Shreve to customize cutting and wrapping. Processing fees and pickup are the responsibility of the winner. Failure to arrange processing or pickup may result in forfeiture of the prize.
The Loudonville FFA Alumni & Supporters is a volunteer organization dedicated to backing the Loudonville FFA and encouraging agricultural education in the community. In addition to fundraising projects like the beef raffle, the group also hosts the Loudonville Farmers Market, provides scholarships and supports classroom and community programs that connect young people with hands-on agricultural experiences.
Tickets and more information are available through the Loudonville FFA Alumni & Supporters website at https:// loudonvilleffa.com/Raffle.
