Holmes County Board of DD schedules October community events across the county
Lineup includes Special Needs Day at The Farm Oct. 1, arts sessions Fridays in Millersburg, Social Bowling Oct. 11 and Costumes and Candy Oct. 18
The Holmes County Board of Developmental Disabilities will host several community events throughout October.
Special Needs Day at The Farm will be held Oct. 1 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 4147 County Road 114, Sugarcreek. The field trip will feature a trail of animals, and a Universal Changing Table will be available for participants of all heights, weights and mobility levels.
The Holmes Center for the Arts will hold weekly sessions on Fridays in October from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at 5200 OH-39, Millersburg. Activities will include art, music, theater and dance, open to anyone age 6 and older.
Social Bowling is planned for Oct. 11 from 6-7:30 p.m. at Spare Time Lanes, 39 Logsdon Ave., Millersburg. Games will cost $4 each with a $2.50 shoe rental fee.
The second annual Costumes and Candy event will take place Oct. 18 from 10-11:30 a.m. at 8001 Township Road, Holmesville. The family-friendly celebration will include wagon rides, candy, nonfood treats and a bouncy castle. The event is wheelchair-accessible and also will provide a Universal Changing Table.
