Hiland girls basketball tops Tusky Valley in IVC play
Lady Hawks earn conference wins while Hiland boys cruise past Tuscarawas Valley
The Hiland girls basketball team picked up a 51-33 win over Tusky Valley in an Inter-Valley Conference clash Dec. 13.
Evie Mast (17 points), Reagan Zerger (13 points, nine rebounds, four steals, three blocks) and Macy Mullet (12 points, four assists) paced the Lady Hawks.
Hiland rolled to a 56-6 victory over Garaway in IVC action Dec. 10.
Perryn Mishler (15 points, five rebounds, three steals), Mast (16 points), Mullet (nine points, three assists) and Zerger (eight points, four rebounds, five steals) led the Lady Hawks.
Boys basketball
Hiland churned out a convincing 65-27 victory over Tuscarawas Valley in IVC play Dec. 16.
The game saw Hiland blow open a tight contest through one quarter by holding the Trojans scoreless in the second period.
Caleb Mishler exploded from beyond the arc, nailing six 3-pointers en route to a game-high 20 points. Grant Bille added 10 and Ryan Zerger pitched in with eight as 11 Hawks found their way into the scoring column.
