The Cleo Redd Fisher Museum invites the public to an evening of mystery and folklore as storyteller and historian Mark Sebastian Jordan presents Hauntings of the Ohio Highlands Monday, Nov. 17 at 7 p.m.
Jordan will share tales from across Ohio’s central highlands, drawn from his book, "In These Haunted Hills: Ghosts of the Ohio Highlands." The collection explores ghostly legends and firsthand accounts from Richland, Ashland, Holmes, Knox and Coshocton counties, blending personal encounters, folklore and historical context into haunting narratives rooted in local history.
With decades of experience as a writer, playwright and performer, Jordan has long been a fixture on Ohio’s arts scene. He has written and directed sold-out historical dramas at Malabar Farm State Park and appeared on national television programs including "Ghost Hunters," "Mysteries at the Museum" and "My Ghost Story."
During this talk Jordan will weave history, legend and his own ghost-hunting adventures into an evening of storytelling featuring paranormal hot spots such as Malabar Farm, the Ohio State Reformatory, Mary Jane’s Grave (Hastings), Sarah’s Grave (Greer), Susie’s Grave (Mount Vernon), Kenyon College and other locations throughout Mohican Country.
The program is free to attend. Jordan will have copies of "In These Haunted Hills" available for purchase for $20 (cash or check only).
Doors will open at 6:30 p.m., with the program beginning at 7 p.m. in the CRF Museum Lecture Hall, 203 E. Main St., Loudonville.
