The Dover Public Library will host an introductory class on fly-fishing Saturday, June 28 at 1 p.m. in the library’s community room, 525 N. Walnut St.

Participants will learn the fundamentals of fly-fishing, fly-tying and fly-casting. The program also will include a hands-on session at Dover City Pond, where attendees can practice casting techniques.

The class will be presented by Jerry Stebbins of Bethany College in Bethany, West Virginia. Stebbins also will speak briefly about Bethany’s new competitive fly-fishing team and scholarship opportunities available to students interested in the program.
