The community is invited to support the Billman family at a benefit auction and spaghetti dinner Sunday, June 29 at the Tuscarawas County Fairgrounds, 259 S. Tuscarawas Ave., Dover.
The event will honor the memory of Reb Billman, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and longtime supporter of the agricultural and 4-H community. Billman played a vital role in mentoring countless youth with their livestock projects, and his presence will be missed throughout the county.
Proceeds from the benefit will help the family cover Billman’s medical expenses. Any remaining funds will be used to establish a scholarship in his name, ensuring his legacy continues for future generations.
The spaghetti dinner will begin at 11:30 a.m. in the Clover Café. Guests may dine in or use the carryout service available via Allen Lane. All-day activities, also starting at 11:30 a.m., will include a silent auction, items for children, gun raffles, a 50/50 drawing and T-shirt sales.
The live auction is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. Attendees will have the opportunity to bid on a variety of donated items including meat bundles, grills, homemade baked goods, John Deere and Ohio State memorabilia, premium spirits, themed baskets, gift cards and more.
A photo gallery of donated items is available on the event’s Facebook group.
