Auditions for Agatha Christie’s ‘The Mousetrap’
The Little Theatre of Tuscarawas County will hold auditions for Agatha Christie’s “The Mousetrap,” the longest-running play in the world, Sunday and Monday, Aug. 10 and 11 at 7 p.m. at the theater. Registration will begin at 6:30 p.m. Performance dates are scheduled for Oct. 3-19.
For more than 70 years, this classic thriller has kept audiences on the edge of their seats and continues to be a sellout hit in London.
Set in post-World War II England, the story unfolds at Monkswell Manor, where a group of guests and staff find themselves snowed in after a local woman is murdered. As the snowstorm worsens, it becomes clear the killer is among them, and tensions rise as suspicions mount.
Director Don Irven and Assistant Director Elizabeth Thomakos are looking to cast five men and three women. All actors will be asked to read with a British dialect and will read directly from the script. Character descriptions and audition monologues are available online at www.thelittletheatreonline.org.
