Retiree Expo returns to Belden Village Mall Oct. 18 with exhibits, prizes and entertainment

Stark County retirees and soon-to-be retirees can find resources, entertainment and giveaways at this year’s Retiree Expo, set for Saturday, Oct. 18, from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Belden Village Mall.

Sponsored by AultCare’s PrimeTime Health Plan, the free event will feature more than 40 exhibitors offering information on recreation, travel, fashion, beauty, health, finances, caregiving and volunteer opportunities. Admission and parking are free.

The first 100 attendees will receive a SARTA welcome bag, and visitors can spin the Prize Wheel sponsored by Seniors Helping Seniors or join a scavenger hunt sponsored by Leaf Home Bath for chances to win prizes.

Entertainment and educational sessions will take place throughout the day in Center Court, across from Macy’s.

• 10:30-11:30 a.m. – Build Your Own Bouquet class with Joy Full Blooms. Participants can design, wrap and style a fresh bouquet to keep or share. The class costs $30 plus tax and requires advance registration at bit.ly/BuildYourOwnBouquetClass.

• 11:30 a.m.-noon – Medicare 101 Chat with AultCare’s PrimeTime Health Plan, offering guidance on plan options and coverage questions.

• Noon-1 p.m. – Fashion Show, sponsored by St. Joseph Senior Living, featuring styles from Chico’s and White House Black Market. WHBC’s Pam Cook will host, and attendees will hear about community outreach at Refuge of Hope and the Canton Palace Theatre.

• 1-1:30 p.m. – Pickleball Connections with Canton Baptist Temple’s sports director, introducing attendees to America’s fastest-growing sport and its health benefits.

Attendees who pre-register online will be entered into a drawing for a tasting and tour for four at The Cave at Gervasi Vineyard. Registration is available at bit.ly/CantonRetireeExpo25. Walk-ins can register at the event in Center Court.

Exhibitors include Aetna, Aultman Generations, Humana, Oak Street Health, Ohio Audiology Associates, St. Joseph Senior Living, The Health Plan, Wellcare, and many others representing health care, financial services, community organizations and senior living.
