Ramsburg Insurance and Chamber host First Responders Appreciation Lunch in Uniontown

Ramsburg Insurance and Financial Services and the Lake Township Chamber of Commerce hosted their fifth annual First Responders Appreciation Lunch on Friday, Oct. 3, 2025, to recognize the dedication and service of local emergency personnel.

The event took place outside Ramsburg’s offices at 12955 Cleveland Ave. NW in Uniontown, where more than 100 attendees gathered under sunny skies to enjoy food, fellowship, and music. First responders from the Uniontown, Hartville, Greentown, and New Franklin fire departments attended, along with the Lake Township Road Department and the Uniontown and Hartville police departments.

The Ramsburg team coordinated the event with help from Chamber members and administrators from Lake Local Schools and Lake Center Christian School. Attendees enjoyed brisket and pulled pork sandwiches with sides from Wagler Farms’ food truck, cookies from Hartville Kitchen, and popcorn courtesy of Hartville Hardware. Portage Awning provided the tent, and music was performed by Canton psychologist and musician Isaac Weaver.

Chip Weisel, president of the Lake Township Chamber, opened the event, followed by remarks from Ramsburg Insurance president Chris Ramsburg. He praised the community’s first responders for their “compassion and courage” and recognized the road department for braving snowstorms to keep residents safe.

Ramsburg also invited Uniontown Police Department officer Kim Berry to share the story of Lt. Nathan Weidman, who suffered a stroke in April and continues his recovery. Donations were collected to support Weidman, with Ramsburg pledging to match all contributions.
